Elon Musk receives death threats from the head of the Russian space agency
New week and new comments from Elon Musk. Now, the owner of Tesla, SpaceX and now also Twitter, has turned to his favorite social network to announce that he fears for his life. Or at least that he has received the message from Rogozin, head of Roscosmos, the Russian space agency.
Specifically, Elon Musk's reaction comes from a publication issued in Russian media yesterday, Sunday. One that Rogozin himself published through his Telegram and on his Twitter account – blocked from all users. The businessman retweeted the comment adding that if he died in strange circumstances, the reason was already known .
In his statement, Rogozin – known for his controversial interventions in the press – pointed out that he was capable of destroying all NATO countries in half an hour. Following that, a direct message to Elon Musk. And to the Starlink technology that the businessman has ceded to the Government of Ukraine to help maintain communications destroyed by the Russian invasion. One that, according to the businessman, had resisted hacking attempts by Russian intelligence.
“From the testimony of the captured chief of staff of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Dmitry Kormyankov, it follows that the ground subscriber equipment of the Starlink satellite company Elon Musk was handed over to the militants of the Nazi Azov Battalion and the marines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Mariupol in military helicopters,” Rogozin pointed out.
“According to our information, the delivery and transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine of post office boxes for receiving and transmitting the Internet from Starlink was carried out by the Pentagon,” adds the head of Roscosmos. And it culminates with the mention of the businessman and veiled threats to his life: “ Elon Musk is involved in supplying military communications to the fascist forces in Ukraine. And for this you will have to answer in an adult way, Elon, no matter how crazy you get.”
Elon Musk's own answer, as always, is unclear. If he transits between the joke or that he really takes seriously the relationship of enmity that has been earned in Russia by its collaboration with Ukraine. In the first instance, the matter that if something happens to him or he dies in strange circumstances points directly to Russia . He then responds to Rogozin himself by adding that he plans to be around for a long time. Something that Musk's own mother does not take as a joke by responding to her son's comments.
In any case, this is not the first time that Rogozin has threatened Elon Musk. Although it is the time that he has gone the furthest in his comments, which since the beginning of the Ukraine War have been rising in tone. Rogozin, in charge of the relationship with NASA in the management of the International Space Station, was the one who pointed out – supposedly jokingly – that he would leave an American astronaut stranded in the middle of space. He is also the one who has finally cut international relations for future collaboration projects in space in which the United States is involved.
Rogozin was also the one who in March pushed, always through the networks, to a hand-to-hand confrontation between Putin and Elon Musk. Again, between joke and reality in the midst of the serious conflict of the Ukraine War.
