From today it will be easier to find the advanced search settings in Gmail (photo)

After undergoing several substantial changes in the previous weeks, Gmail welcomes today a couple of small news that in fact do not change anything in the functions of the popular Google service, but make it a little more usable, if nothing else.

The first change concerns the symbol on the right end of the search bar visible in the web version . Until now a small arrow pointing downwards was used, to indicate that clicking would open more possibilities, now there is the typical preferences icon . Its presence could easily be mistaken for the settings of the box, if it were not for the presence of the classic wheel a little further away.

At the same time, users who have unified Gmail with Google Chat and Rooms, will notice that the text contained in the search bar is “Search in conversations” to suggest that not only the email, but also chats. Those who have remained with the “old” approach will continue to see the usual and reassuring “Search in the mail”. These little news are being released from today , but for some it may take a few days, if not a couple of weeks.
