Google accompanies the little ones to discover the Web with “Interland: digital adventures”

What better way to illustrate and educate the little ones about the world of the Web than by letting a loving grandfather do it? Google in collaboration with the State Police, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Altroconsumo, aims to help children and young people, together with parents and teachers, to become responsible digital citizens thanks to the publication of the new book Interland: digital adventures .

The reins of history are entrusted to Grandfather Agenore and his grandchildren Davide and Matilde, who give their mustachioed relative a computer with which he can be closer to their world, especially Matilde, who she had to move to another city. The turning point in the story, however, will be for a second gift, which will start a journey into the world of Interland , which will give the protagonists the opportunity to meet truly extravagant creatures and characters and will discover the pitfalls of the web by talking with the creators of YouTube they meet on their way, solving playful but constructive questions, thus learning to recognize the good side but also the online risks, from which it is good to know how to defend yourself through some rules and simple precautions.

Commenting and illustrating the project are the words of Mirta Michilli , Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, who stated:

“It is never too early and it is never too late to give all citizens a cultural toolbox to interpret our world and live the relationship in a healthy way, in any context. With the book, which we disseminate in schools, and the board game, which we have conceived, it becomes easier to transform civic education into a fascinating narrative and to provide the educational tools, not only virtual, but also physical and tangible, to also respond to the challenges of life, increasingly complex. “

“Interland: digital adventures” is available starting from 5 May on the Vivi Internet site, al Meglio, to then be distributed in 80 Italian schools by Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
