Good news for SPID : the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digital Transition today declared that SPID digital identities activated in Italy are more than 30 million . In the last year alone, the service has grown a lot, given that in 12 months there have been 10 million activations carried out.
SPID is increasingly used by citizens to take advantage of the online services of the Public Administration: in 2021 , accesses made through digital identity over half a billion , and in 2022 an even greater number is expected, given that in this first quarter of the year, 330 million accesses have already been exceeded.
“ We reached in advance the annual goal of diffusion of the digital identity foreseen by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (equal to 38% of the population), and we are getting closer and closer to the 2023 target (46% of the population).
