TIM launches its satellite Internet experimentation: here are all the details of the upcoming offer

Today, TIM launched a new experimentation of broadband in the most remote places of the country via satellite Internet and in doing so made available for the first 3000 Satellite Option customers at the additional price of € 19.90 per month .

The above is dedicated to existing TIM customers without connection who live in areas not covered by all other ADSL, FWA, FTTC or FTTH technologies. This means that for the request to be accepted it is necessary that the only technology available for activation is satellite technology.

Following the request and verification of the conditions provided, customers will receive the satellite dish with installation included to connect with satellite internet technology. The satellite kit is on loan for free use and the payment is in the RTG bill, while there is no activation fee.

The trial is valid throughout Italy , with the exception of Sicily and central and southern Sardinia, until 30 October 2021 , except for extensions, or with an earlier deadline of this date should TIM launch its Satellite Internet offer in advance. According to what was leaked from the roadmap, the operator should be able to bring this type of connection across the country by 2022.

At the end of the trial the offer will be automatically terminated and the customer will keep active only the other services on his fixed line.
