The news of the transition to the speed of 2.5Gbps with Vodafone's FTTH fiber had already been anticipated with the opening of the new Vodafone Open services last week, but today there is another piece forward. In fact, for a few hours it has been possible to request the activation of the Vodafone very high speed fiber throughout Italy.
The service is now active throughout Italy wherever there is FTTH coverage via Open Fiber. In addition to the record download, the upload at 500 Mbps speed is certainly noteworthy, beating the 300 Mbps offered by other operators such as TIM or Tiscali.
At the moment we do not yet know what the procedures will be for existing customers, but for sure if you do not have internet at home or you have another operator you can certainly take the opportunity to significantly update the speed of your network.
